Champion flat jockey Jim Crowley will be the new number one rider for Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum of Dubai, one of the world’s top racehorse owners.
Crowley replaces Paul Hanagan, whose contract has not been renewed after five years in the role.
A former jump jockey, Crowley won his first flat title this year.
He suffered a broken nose in a multiple fall at Kempton last month, which left fellow rider Freddy Tylicki with paralysing injuries.
